Top 7 Things to do in Freetown in September 2022

Updated: Sep 4, 2022

September...

I am on my knees, as I was with July. Koni, ah tek God beg yu. (Krio translation: I plead with you in the name of God)

August was not kind to Sierra Leone. To heavy destructive rainfalls, to purported extrajudicial killings, to protests with deadly endings and a WHOLE internet shutdown - it has been one thing after the other. Alas, as the saying goes when there's hope there's life - and that's where we really are as a nation; Inshallah and Vibes. With everything going on I just couldn't bring myself to write a Top 7 for August, we were practically living a month of Squid Game.

May Allah make it easy for us and Jum'uaa Mubarak (Arabic translation: Happy Friday).

I hope this September brings blessings, prosperity and peace to you all. And maybe some of these events can also add to your basket.
