New month...new hair, well at least for me anyways!

Happy new month y'all! 🤭
It's a new month and we are in GEMINI season! ♊ 😈 Happy birthday to all my JUNE Geminis!
If you have been keeping up with me on socials, you would have seen I've been a digital menace since May 21. To be fair sha, I'm typically a menace anyways - but this one is justified!
I'm going to make this banter short and sweet as I'm racing against the clock with my birthday minutes away.
June is here and you're welcome! And I may be a tad bias by saying this...but it's the best month of the year *insert Kanye West meme*.
Whether you're looking for art, wellness, networking, nightlife or simply an excuse to leave the house, here are 7 Things you can do in Freetown this month 😊:
1.) Shopping Saturday 🛍️

Are you looking to shop for a friend, loved one, yourself or me... 😏?
If so, then you are in luck! Aurora Foundation is opening its doors for a day of Shopping Saturday. Items for sale include a wide variety of handmade pieces that are perfect for your home. You can make your home even cozier this rainy season on:
Date: Saturday, June 13 2026
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Venue: Aurora House, 35 Fraser Street off Wilkinson Road
2.) Nostalgia 🎧

Music often takes us back to earlier moments in life, bringing up memories and emotions we thought we had long forgotten...
If you are in the mood for Nostalgia, The Escape presents a night of the songs that raised us, bringing back the 2016-2017 era. You can expect Salone classics, Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, R&B, Dancehall and Pop sets from DJs Jae Marshall, DJ Tunji and Dito Freaky on:

3.) Between Hills and Tides Exhibition 📷

"A picture is worth a thousand words" is often said, but the question remains, are we willing to truly support the arts behind those words?
Curated by Inkundla Spaces, a two day photography exhibition by Lara Perez, also known as Efimer, will take audiences on a journey through Sierra Leone in Between Hills and Tides on:
Date: Saturday, June 13 & Sunday, June 14 2026

In a world full of chaos, it is important to breathe, recalibrate and recenter yourself and Art can help you do that.
Zahra Fakih also known as Zato is a Therapeutic Arts Life Coach and is opening her practice once again in Freetown this month to offer Mandala Art therapy. Join Zato to explore colors, play and practice mindfulness and meditation on:
